Half of the SEEDER Partners are aerospace companies and half have strong connections with the nuclear power and reactor industry with a special focus on radiation monitoring and instrumentation and control electronics for reactors.

Aerospace companies operate electronic systems which are specially threatened by SEE due to the high altitude environment in which they function. This environment is 300 times more severe than at sea level.

SEE from nuclear reactor neutrons is starting to become a problem and will soon be the dominant radiation effect in electronics associated with reactors. In addition to this Laboratory Impex Systems also have sensitive medical instrumentation products, which operate in the context of medical radiation sources. Centronic is also a manufacturer of microelectronic devices and therefore provides a market perspective from the electronic component supply industry.
